Effective date: July 4, 2026 (draft — review before publishing)
These terms are an agreement between you and [YOUR NAME / COMPANY NAME] ("we") for the use of the IziCamera app and its services.
IziCamera turns a phone you own into a home security camera you can watch, control, and receive alerts from on your other devices. It includes live streaming, motion detection with optional on-device AI, recordings stored on the camera phone, snapshots, sharing with people you trust, and related features.
You need an account (email + password). Keep your password safe — anyone with your credentials can see your cameras. You must be legally old enough in your country to accept these terms.
You may only point cameras at what you have the legal right to monitor. In particular you agree to:
You are solely responsible for what your cameras capture and how you use the footage. If you use the app unlawfully, that's on you, and we may terminate your account.
IziCamera is a consumer convenience product, not a professionally monitored alarm system and not a substitute for one. Detection can miss events or fire falsely; phones lose power and networks fail; notifications can be delayed by your device manufacturer's battery software. Do not rely on IziCamera as your only protection for life, health, or property. In an emergency, contact emergency services.
The current version is free. We plan paid tiers (e.g. larger storage, cloud features) and advertising on the free tier in the future; when introduced, prices and terms will be shown in the app before you pay, and this document will be updated.
Footage, snapshots, and events belong to you. You grant us only the limited technical license needed to operate the service (store, transmit, and display your content to you and the people you share it with). We claim no other rights, and we do not use your content for AI training or marketing.
We work hard to keep the service running, but it is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties. Features may change, and we may suspend or discontinue parts of the service. We may terminate accounts that violate these terms.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages — including loss suffered because an event was not detected, a notification did not arrive, a recording failed, or the service was unavailable. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
These terms are governed by the laws of [YOUR COUNTRY], and disputes go to the courts of [YOUR CITY/JURISDICTION], unless mandatory consumer law says otherwise.
